If the drive is not listed, it may not work correctly. If Windows Media Player still doesn't detect your CD drive, and if your computer is running the Microsoft Windows XP operating system, check the Windows Marketplace Tested Products List to ensure that your CD drive is designed for use with Windows. Note that you may have to log off and then log on for this change to take effect

Media Player is the successor to Groove Music for Windows 10 (previously Xbox Music) and Windows Media Player. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services. 
Next, verify that the Image Mastering API (IMAPI) CD-Burning COM service on your computer is enabled. You will see a Recording tab if your CD drive is recognized.Verify that the Enable CD recording on this drive check box is selected on the Recording tab. In case you chose the option With a CD DVD player, you will see an empty File Explorer window. Click on Library and Drag the files (videos, audio or photos) into the burn list. Select Data CD or DVD from the drop-down list of burn Options. A new interface under the Source tab will open, from where you can add Windows Media Player files to burn. Lunch Windows Media Player and click on the Burn tab at the top right-hand corner. Step 2 Import and Edit Windows Media Player Videos to DVD. In the Devices with Removable Storage area, right-click the CD drive, and then click Properties. Download and install Wondershare Video DVD Creator on your Windows PC or Mac, then open the software and choose Create a DVD Video Disc option from the main interface.
Go to Start menu, right-click My Computer, and then click Open.
